Salvageable fuel may be available even in the worst crisis, for a while, but the tools necessary to transport the liquid gold are often in high demand. Fuel can be used for vehicles, cooking appliances, chainsaws and numerous other devices. Pound for pound petro chemicals such as diesel and gas are an incredibly powerful energy source, which is why they are in such high usage. If your survival kit plans include any fueled devices, generators, vehicles or tools then it is very important that you consider the ability to transport and acquire fuel if you find yourself in a situation where gas stations are no longer operational. In the event of a major survival situation, political upheaval or alien invasion plan, the resources which you once had easy access to are very likely to become unavailable for the duration of the crisis.
