This product will seal blood vessels and should only be used in the most extreme emergencies. This will buy you a brief amount of time to find a vascular surgeon to undo the mess this stuff makes. It can keep you alive, but should be only used to resolve otherwise fatal injuries. This stuff is not a toy, by the same token, it is extremely important to have if you feel that some form of emergency assistance may be available but will not be available fast enough. |
Field surgery kit. This is a moderate size tool kit with scalpels, forceps and other surgical tools. If you are ever in a position where you need to utilize the surgical knowledge you have, then this is an excellent toolkit. Additionally surgical scalpels are very sharp precise instruments with a number of other uses. |
Air splints are very lightweight and useful for quickly and firmly applying pressure to broken bones. They are easily packed in a backpack and can be invaluable if hiking in rugged terrain, in the event of an unforseen fall or other injury to the limbs. |
